Oldest, newest, largest, smallest

Oldest motorcycle in the rally: Mark Collins' 1972 Harley-Davidson Electra-Glide with the fancy bungee-cord anti-rattle device on the front brake caliper.

Newest motorcycle in the rally: Jonathan Hammy Tan, Danny Dossman, Michiel Kerkof, and Olaf Moon are all riding 2014 bikes, but we'll have to give the prize to Michiel with 1529 miles on his H-D Ultra Classic Limited.

By Make: 19 BMWs (10 GSes, 5 RTs), 15 Hondas (13 Gold Wings), 9 Yamahas (7 FJRs), 7 Harley-Davidsons, 3 Kawasakis, 3 Suzuki V-Stroms, 1 Aprilia CapoNord.

Highest odometer: John Frick with 258179 miles on his BMW.

Several riders have reported that their SPOT trackers stopped tracking - or maybe they just didn't want to be tracked any more.

Several riders have called in to ask if they can claim the rest bonus more than once. We're attributing this to wishful thinking after 36 hours in the saddle. The answer is, no, you can rest as much as you want, but you only get points for it once. (Otherwise, the winning strategy would be to ride straight to the checkpoint and then sit around the hotel pool getting up every 3 hours to get a new rest bonus receipt).
